Your images
Resize any image online, right in your browser. Set an exact width and height in pixels or scale by percentage, keep the aspect ratio locked and download the result as JPG, PNG or WebP. Your photos are never uploaded, so it’s fast, free and private.
How to resize an image
- Drop your photos into the box above, or click to choose them. You can add several images at once.
- Pick pixels or percentage, then type a width and height, or choose a preset such as Instagram post (1080 × 1080) or YouTube thumbnail (1280 × 720). Leave “Keep aspect ratio” ticked to avoid stretching the picture.
- Choose the output format and quality, then download each image, or all of them together in one ZIP file.
Why resize your images?
Photos straight from a phone are often 4000 pixels wide and several megabytes, far more than a website, an email or a social network needs. Resizing to the right dimensions makes pages load faster, helps attachments stay under size limits and gives you a picture in the format a platform expects. It is also the most effective way to make a photo smaller: fewer pixels means fewer bytes.
Frequently asked questions
Is this image resizer free?
Yes. It’s free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Your images are resized directly in your browser and never leave your device.
How do I resize a photo without stretching it?
Keep “Keep aspect ratio” on and enter only a width or only a height: the other side is calculated for you. With several images, each one is scaled to fit inside the size you set.
What do the presets do?
They fill in the width and height for common uses: Instagram post, Instagram story, YouTube thumbnail and Full HD. If your photo has a different shape, it is cropped from the centre to fill the size, or you can choose to stretch it to the exact size instead.
Can I resize many images at once?
Yes, up to 50 at a time. Download them one by one, or all together in a single ZIP file.
Which formats are supported?
You can open JPG, PNG and WebP images and save them in the same format or as JPG, PNG or WebP. A quality slider is available for JPG and WebP.
