Why use a case converter?
Retyping a text that was written in capitals by mistake, or capitalising every word of a title by hand, is slow and easy to get wrong. A converter fixes it in a second. Developers also use it to turn a phrase into camelCase, snake_case or kebab-case for variable names, file names and URLs, with the accents removed so the result is safe to use.
Frequently asked questions
Is this case converter free?
Yes. It’s free, with no sign-up and no limit.
Is my text sent to a server?
No. The text is converted in your browser and never leaves your device.
How does Title Case work?
It capitalises each word except small words such as “of”, “the”, “de” or “del”, which stay in lowercase unless they come first or last in the title. You can choose English, French or Spanish rules.
What is the difference between Title Case and Sentence case?
Title Case capitalises most words (The Lord of the Rings). Sentence case only capitalises the first letter of each sentence and puts everything else in lowercase.
How do I change uppercase to lowercase?
Paste your text and click lowercase. Then press Copy to take the result.
Does it work with accents?
Yes. Accented letters are converted correctly, for example é to É. For camelCase, snake_case and kebab-case you can remove the accents.
